Design-Build:
Water Distribution SCADA
Owner: City of Coatesville Authority
Location: Coatesville, Pennsylvania
 GFPDC furnished design/build services to
the Owner for a "Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition" (SCADA)
system to provide monitoring and control of remote water distribution
sites including 5 pump stations, 1 valve chamber, and 4 water tanks.
The improvements replaced tone telemetry equipment with frequency
hopping spread spectrum radios and provided programmable logic
controllers (PLCs) at each site for automatic control. Manual controls
were included on the pump station control panels as well as on
a computerized graphical interface provided at the water plant.
Design and feasibility study services included a radio path analysis
with field verifications.
